We are committed to good quality training and have a comprehensive training plan in place for professionals.
Training strategy
We have produced a training strategy designed to deliver training to commissioned service providers in addition to statutory sector health and social care staff. This strategy aims to improve standards and awareness thus leading to improvements in service delivery and timely and appropriate safeguarding interventions.

Alerter training
Alerter workbook and assessment
The Safeguarding Adult alerter training workbook and assessment sheet are now available to use within your organisations.
In addition to the workbook there is also managers guidance providing the answers to the assessment questions and information on where to send completed and marked assessment sheets. This guidance is available for your manager by emailing safeguarding_training@durham.gov.uk.
Certificates will be sent to those who successfully complete the workbook.
