What should I do if I discuss my concerns with my manager who refuses to report a safeguarding concern?
Acting within your organisation's procedures:
If you feel strongly that the adult is being abused or neglected or is at risk of being abused or neglected, you can speak to your manager again.
If this does not have a positive outcome for you, you can speak to your manager's manager or use your organisation's speaking out or whistle blowing procedures, or contact Social Care Direct for advice, or ultimately report your safeguarding adults concern with Social Care Direct yourself.
